Kent

A short note to follow on from last week’s blog on good weather and mood:

Today I saw that Kent has been voted Europe’s top family holiday destination by Lonely Planet.

As a Kent native and resident, it’s nice to see our county’s wonderful places to visit are gaining international attention.  I recently saw online someone who has lived in Kent for 12 years, but has visited very few of these attractions – so this year he intends to have a “staycation”.  He has booked a week off work to explore the county as a tourist would, enjoying the comforts of home while making the most of what is on his doorstep.  This can be a very effective way of changing your viewpoint to see the area you live in through different eyes – and maybe find undiscovered beauty and joy in it that will give you pleasure all year round.
