I am a qualified counsellor and Registered Member MBACP. I hold a BACP-accredited level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling (2014) from InterPsyche Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies, part of Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. You can find the BACP statement on “Our commitment to clients” here.
I offer counselling in two locations in Sittingbourne in Kent, both easily accessible.
I have clinical experience in a number of areas, including but not limited to:
- Anxiety (particularly general anxiety disorder and social anxiety)
- Lack of confidence
- Family breakdown / family issues
- Self image / body image
- Self esteem
I have a particular interest in working with people with disabilities – particularly those with “invisible” neurological disabilities such as fibromyalgia, hypermobility, CFS/ME and chronic pain. These illnesses are very real with numerous debilitating symptoms, but the mental and emotional impacts of living with these conditions can be worked with in counselling.
I have recently completed extra training in working with anger and rage, OCD, attachment theory, positive psychology, self harm, suicidal thoughts & feelings, living with chronic illness, working with people on the autistic spectrum, body image and compassion-focussed therapy for depression.
